The first night we stayed in Sanibel it was raining, but I would not be deterred, there was a low tide to be explored and the promise of an adventure! I offered to bring anyone with me who wanted to come along...but my only taker was Johnny.
We found the one and only nine-legged star fish of the week! Known for their ability to drop and regenerate a leg at will!
So many starfish that night!
The smallest I've ever seen!
How cool is that - my left hand and thumb! 
And this is even cooler!
All we kept saying to one another was that everyone was going to wish they'd been there with us! And they did! It was quite a special evening! Strolling the beach, sometimes hand in hand, finding such amazing creatures and soaking in the solitude.
